Repack socket: I am not familar with alveogel but I do know that sometimes the socket has to be packed more than once to alleviate pain. I would contact your dentist.

Dry socket: It is not uncommon to need a second dressing change during dry socket therapy. Contact the treating office for a post-op follow up.
