See a pain doctor: No family doctor is going to prescribe fentanyl for fibromyalgia, especially to a 27yo b/c of the need to have to titrate te dose secondary to tolerance occurring. A pain doctor will be your best bet.

There are better RXs: The use of narcotics in fibromyalgia is usually counterproductive. It is not the best therapy and will interfer with the body's ability to activate its own endorphins. You need an evaluation by a pain center since you are now on chronic narcotics if you will ever have the potential of being drug free.

Overall program: Sounds like you need to be working with a pain medicine physician -- many of whom are also psychiatrists. This physician can review your whole case and personal situation, and help you develop a treatment plan that is more comprehensive than opiates (such as fentanyl) alone. There are many facets to healing from fibromyalgia, and you need all of them to get well. Good luck.
