Bacterial vaginosis: Vaginal odor is from bacteria, as bad breath results from bacteria in the mouth. Vaginas all have bacteria. If you become colonized with bacteria known to cause troublesome odor, the key is management, not cure. Controlling bacteria overgrowth can be managed like using mouthwash to do so in the mouth. Occasional douche with "medicated" product is helpful. Look for a douche with "povidine".

BV: Bacterial vaginosis is classic for this. It comes from a change in the bacteria normally present in the vagina. Will need a prescription to restore the normal flora.
