Depends: Some rheumatologist s recommend doing nothing if the disease is not active. However for active disease the only reliable treatment is with medication.

Perhaps: About 10% of the population has nightshade sensitivity (eggplant, potatoes, peppers, tomatoes, etc). They do best totally avoiding all nightshade plants. Three months is a good trial. Also consider dairy and gluten free. Eating becomes challenging, but still doable with practice.. There are still many foods and a good dietitian can help you.
