See details: It depends whether the tenosynovitis is secondary to the RA or if it is an unrelated problem. If it is secondary then meds should be adjusted to provide better control. A small local problem often resolves with a cortisone injection. You can really help your long term outlook by stopping smoking. Tobacco use makes the RA much worse.
