I have a trip to jamaica planned in 10 days, at which point i will be about 6 weeks pregnant. i am hesitant to go. is travel safe? concerns?

Safe;yes: With concerns. We enjoy some of the best public health in the world here in the U.S.A. And "not so much" in our southern neighbors. If you insist on bottled water, no adventurous foods(goats head soup comes to mind) and avoid "ganga", peel your own fruit after washing your hands; no milk. Have a great time!

Safe, but..: I generally discourage all travel during pregnancy. It means you are away from your medical home and any complication will be magnified. In addition, out of country travel carries the risks of traveler's diarrhea (could lead to miscarriage), mosquito-borne/parasitic/viral/bacterial infections and tuberculosis - in poor health care systems. Adventures can wait until later - focus on the pregnancy!
