Complex issue: Lamotrigine is a seizure medication. It has been used by some psychiatrists as a mood stabilizer, but there is controversy. Other seizure medications are used for fibromyalgia including Neurontin and lyrica (pregabalin). It is reasonable to try a mild muscle relaxant as needed, especially at night to assist with sleep. However, your doctor should monitor all your medications carefully.

Absolutely: Muscle relaxants are medications that the american college of rheumatology highly recommends for use in fibro. There are no major interactions with lamotrigine.
