Needs evaluation: Is the vision from the right eye poor at night compared to the left eye or does it simply not adapt to the dark well at night compared to the left eye? Most likely is a need for eyeglass correction for that eye such as modest myopia. It would be rare to have a unilateral dark adaptation problem there are other possibilities which your ophthalmologist can sort out for you if persistent.

Low night vision: Low night vision in one eye is likely due to some ocular issue resulting in asymmetric decreased vision. This could be cataract, corneal disease, glaucoma, macular degeneration or other retinal disease, or other optic nerve disease. You should see an eye doctor to determine the cause of the unilateral low night vision issue since it could be something serious in need of treatment.
