Prevention: I assume you mean urethral stricture, which is a narrowing in the urethra usually caused by scar tissue. Causes of this are previous surgery or instrumentation, or genital infections. If you have pain when you urinate or urethral discharge or a decreasing urinary stream, you should see a doctor.
