On the plus side they are cheap, and will cause no harm. Nail fungus is not contagious to all, but others can be susceptible to infection.

Medicine works best: There is no home remedy that is effective. You can try topical antifungal medications, but the ones provided in podiatry offices are more effective than those in the pharmacy. There are other options, including oral medication, that are also effective.
