See a dentist: There are many sources of bad breath other than dental bacteria such as post nasal drip, diet, respiratory infections or gerd, the key is identifying the cause since each cause is treated differently. Start by seeing a dentist if you are uncertain of the cause. If you are sure it is dental, good oral hygiene is the next step.

Bad breath: I would recommend that you see a dentist for a comprehensive exam. There are many causes of bad breath including, periodontal disease( gum disease) , dental cavities , sinus infections, diabetes . Mouthwashes and mints just mask the underlying cause so it is important to have a diagnosis as to what the problem is.

Multiple Answers: First find the cause and deal with that directly. Typically, bad breath stems from bacteria between teeth, on the tongue and around the gums. Fortunately, this problem is often easy to fix: good oral hygiene (brushing 2x day, flossing & brushing your tongue), regular visits to your dentist (to prevent gum disease), and ruling out any underlying conditions or other factors.
