Dental-Sinus-Stomach: Bad breath can be from the oral cavity, sinus infection or stomach acid. Oral causes include periodontal disease & gingivitis with the oozing of blood releasing sulfur gases. Poor oral hygiene allows oral bacteria to ferment food debris producing lots of bacterial action & buildup. Dry mouth makes oral hygiene difficult & build up on the tongue provides a large home for smelly bacteria buildup.

Treat the cause: Halitosis, bad breath , has different causes., from eating odiferous foods like onions or garlic to infected sinuses to gastric reflux. Using strong alcohol mouthwashes to mask it will make things worse because the alcohol will dry out your mouth. Brushing your tongue may help but remember to fix the cause.
