Need more info: The specific artery or vein which was angioplastied would determine what precautions, lifestyle changes, etc. Would be needed. In general, if the access site was through the groin, you would need to avoid heavy lifting, straining or climbing stairs for 5-7 days to allow the entry wound to heal.

Focus on Disease: Angioplasty is a hydraulical expansion of narrowed blood vessels, not the underlying ds, injures the vessel & further complicates underlying artery ds. Thus, especially if not done previously, aggressively focus on the factors which drive the disease process: lipoproteins: optimize NMR particle test (ldl ≤700 nmol/l, large HDL ≥9 µmol/l), hba1c ≤6.0, 5.0 optimal, sbp ≤120, ↓body fat, ↑activity.
