Ask : When you make your appointment ask what the procedure is at the facility you are planning to use. Many will give you an initial impression before you leave. Most will send you a letter with the results and recommendations for future studies. If you are not satisfied with what you are told, look for another facility.

Diagnostic mammo: Since a diagnostic mammo is evaluated by the radiologist at the time it is performed, you can ask to talk to the radiologist. Otherwise your doctor will probably have the results within a day or two. Call your doctor the next day and ask about the results, unless you have already arranged a way to get the results from them.
