Probably : Using a strong abrasive agent can cause wearing of the dental enamel. Toothpastes in us are fda regulated and tend to have optimal abrasives.

Depends on brush: Most toothpastes are designed to be abrasive. The damage you're referring to is prob wto the gums which is usu caused by a hard brush. Use only soft brush.
