A member asked:

What are some endocrine complications you may have with diabetes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Quite a few: Type 1 diabetes can be associated with other autoimmune disease. From a gland perspective: thyroid is most common. Addison's disease and primary gonadal failure can also associated with diabetes. Other autoimmune diseases can be associated with type 1 dm, not just glandular. Polyendocrinopathies may or may not include type 1 dm, depending on which kind.
