In the digestive system what is the job of the teeth, small intestines, colon?

Working together: The teeth masticate or chew the food so that the stomach can process it. Once in the stomach, the enzymes help further digest the food until it enters the intestines as chyme. Nutrients are absorbed from the small intestine until the remaining material passes down the digestive tract to the colon to be excreted. Very simple answer but more can be found online if you need a more details.

Prepare food for you: The teeth initially grind the food particles for your body so that the food can be broken down into the nutritional components that your body can absorb. The small intestine absorb the nutritional chemicals from the food and continue to breakdown the food for further processing. The colon then prepares the food even further for elimination.
