Bad no Painful yes: Gingivostomatitis is a condition involving painful sores and ulcers in the mouth. It may be caused by bacteria however it is commonly associated with herpes simplex virus. Lesions may last up to a couple of weeks. Good oral hygiene is mandatory anmd may include warm salt water rinses. See a professional.
