A member asked:

What are the implications of a hypotonic baby?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It Depends: It really depends upon the cause, if discoverable. There are congenital hypotonias, where intellectually the child is fine, but physically there are delays which require long term physical therapy to achieve normalcy. There are more complicated forms with global delay that may be difficult to overcome.Consult with your pediatrician.
