Can tight shoes damage your feet like with neuromas?

They might: Narrow fitting shoes or high heels can put a lot of force in the ball of the foot. This causes pinching of the interdigital nerves, and if irritated enough might lead to a neuroma. Shoes with lower heels and have room for the toes are idea.

Yes...: Tight shoes can damage your feet and certainly have been thought to contribute to the development or worsening of neuromas. It is important for you to get well fitting shoes. Some guidelines to do this can be found at the orthopedic foot and ankle website. The web address is www.Aofas.Org.
