Lack of smoothness: Many normal people have a tendency to stammer. It is more common in males and in those who are anxious or nervous in social settings. There is a lack of smoothness between the brain and the mouth. Often the harder you try the worse it gets. When you do not think about it, speech comes easily. When you try too hard, you stammer. This often develops about age 7 and persists. Learn smoothness.
