Yes you can: U r hopefully on antibiotics for the cystitis. Your dr. Would probably approve of pyridium, uristat (phenazopyridine) or Azo all have same ingredient which will stain urine orange and usually goes a long way to relieve or reduce pain or burning from cystitis. Many people also get pain relief from Ibuprofen (motrin or advil) good luck.

IS IT PRESCRIBED ?: It may help along with antibiotics but is it prescribed or do you just have some left over from something else? Speak with your physician to make sure it is alright. Also depends on what pain killers you mean like otc or narcotic?

Yes: If it hurts and you feel you need pain killers there is no reason you should not.
