Call your MD: 300mg of amitriptlyine is a high dose and should be carefully monitored. If you are confused about the dosage and timing don't guess, ask your prescriber. It would be unusual to start with 300mg. More likely this was to be increased slowly over several days. Call your prescriber and if can't be reached don't start with that dose.
