Whst does a massive stroke or massive heart attack look like and would cpr have saved him if he was unconscious and exhaling only? was he already gone

See below: "unconscious and exhaling only" sounds like agonal breathing so he was not dead yet but very close to it. Both massive stroke and massive heart attack may result in severe damage to the brain because of lack of oxygen. Even if resuscitated, these patients usually don't wake up and die eventually of multiple complications. Sorry!
