No and no: Tmj problems and anxiety may be recurrent & long-lasting but intermittent tinnitus sources. Temporary relief of anxiety should temporarily relieve tinnitus (a therapeutic trial) TMJ is potentially reversible, so related tinnitus could resolve.

Many causes: Tinnitis (ringing in the ear/ears) has always been a tough ailment to deal with and treat. There can be many causes, including too much Aspirin ingestion over the years, tmj, ear injury, heredity, cysts, tumors, esposure to loud noises and other sources. Proper treatment is very difficult to figure out from mouth splints, taking a ginkgo supplement over time, and even surgery. Go to an ent.

A few things: Tinnitus symptoms can be associated with ear pathology, TMJ, depression, anxiety, sleep disturbance TMJ tinnitus is not usually very disruptive, as ear related tinnitus. If tinnitus TMJ related, will improve with successful TMJ treatment.
