A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possible: Heart disease can be congenital, acquired at young age ( rheumatic fever, affecting valves) or acquired during the years due to high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol. At age 22 its usually congenital or acquired as an infant. If you are worried see a cardiologist , and may be get an echocardiogram.
