Good to do the tests: Preeclampsia is usually diagnosed by elevated BP and protein in the urine. A 24-hour urine collection is important for the determination of how much protein is present. Spot check of protein is unreliable - could be contamination or a sign of mild infection. You will know what is happening after getting the test results. Be sure to report severe headaches, abd pain, and/or vision changes.
