Aerobic: Any exercise that gets your heart rate up will increase your metabolism of food. Fast walking, jogging, dance class (like zumba), swimming, and biking are some of the ways to do this. Most important---choose something that's fun, so you'll want to do it regularly!

Engage in regular aerobic exercise (i.e. running, swimming, Nordic track, bicycling, kickboxing, walking, cross country skiing, hiking, etc.) Do both cardio & weight training. The one you enjoy!: The best exercises to do for weight loss are the ones you look forward to. Walking, bikeing, swimming, tennis, handball, raquetball, etc are all good ways to get exercise. Always start slow if you are new to exercise and build up your endurance over time. Make sure to stretch before and after any exercise.
