Both can be : Sedating. Taken together they can make you very sleepy. Be careful not to over do it and avoid behaviors, like driving, that could endanger you.

Drug interactions: The combination of these medications may cause severe constipation, CNS depression, psychomotor impairment, hypotension, and other additive effects. If these are to be taken together, your doctor should decrease the opioid dose (norco).

Possibly: They both have sedating side effects that could add together, and there’s a risk of the two interfering with important activities like driving and breathing during sleep. The *first* time you take them together, do so while awake and when you don’t expect to drive or sleep in the next few hours, and see how you respond. That may guide the safety of taking them together and at current doses.
