At that age: Attention span can be short. If hyperactivity/impulsivity is disruptive, he needs an evaluation. His pediatrician needs your prenatal, labor & delivery records, his birth records, & a 3-generation family history. Describe exact behaviors you observe, when & where. Development, especially of social communication & reciprocal social interaction + sleeping/eating patterns are key to diagnosis.
