A member asked:

Is autism connected to mmr vaccine?

6 doctors weighed in across 3 answers

No: According to the cdc, no association between MMR and autism. There was a theory that the thymersol preservative was contributing to autism, but the autism rates rose even after the thymersol was removed. It is a major mistake to not have one's kids fully vaccinated.

Not Causal: We have many years of global research that shows no CAUSAL association between vaccines and autism. However, the small study that created this controversy was funded by anti vaccine lobbyists, which Wakefield never disclosed when he published it with The Lancet. This fraud caused many deaths of babies and children around the world, especially in California (pertussis) and England ( measles )

No: There is no evidence that MMR vaccination can cause autism. The main study reporting a relationship has been repudiated and the physician who published the study has lost his license to practice medication.
