A member asked:

What are the ovarian cyst removal surgery risks?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many but rare: Surgery for an ovarian cyst today is very safe and complications are rare. As with any operation risks related to ansthesia, blood loss, damage to surrounding structures and infection do happen -but are uncommon. Some loss of ovarian tissue is common but usually not consequential.
