See doctor: The need for you to be seen soon or immediately depends upon a few things. Are you having trouble breathing, is it only on one side, does it hurt, how long has it been like this, is it worsening. If it is the outside of your throat/both sides, could be swollen glands, and because of viral infection. If you are having trouble breathing, go to E.R. Now. All else see dr soon.

See your doctor!: This is one of those problems where a visit to your doctor is necessary to figure out what's going on. Only after a thorough evaluation, including examination and possibly labs and other tests, can your doctor correctly diagnose you and treat you effectively.
