See a Dentist and...: See a dentist for a diagnosis and they can work with your baby's doctor to find a solution for your cold sores which will not interfere with your nursing. I like using coconut oil as a mouth rinse. Swish a teaspoon of coconut oil for 5 minutes and spit out... Repeat 3 times to help clean your mouth. While it is not high tech it is soothing and can help you to have a very clean mouth.

It is self limiting: Cold sore in the mouth do not need any treatment and will go away by itself.As long as you do not kiss the baby there will be no problem nursing the baby and you can continue to breast feed.
