This is very common "color" of mucus from the nose is not a reliable indictator of a sinus infection most whitish/yellowish drainage is a result of a viral uri. If it lasts longer than a week, is associated with high fevers, see your doctor. Just please don't allow them to prescribe zithromax or a z-pack.
