A member asked:

Is a biopsy recommended for ringworm for 2 months under one arm & deep swelling under both arms for a year and half with severe hashimotos?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Is it ringworm?: A biopsy is not needed for superficial fungal infections of the skin. You doctor and a skin scrapping and confirm the diagnosis. If you have had these symptoms for a year and half, it is about time that you see your doctor for evaluation and may be systemic treatment. See this site for more info. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/ringworm/ds00489.
