A member asked:

I get really dizzy when i cough or laugh? is this dangerous and do i need to see a doctor?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

This can happen: Prolonged coughing/laughing can reduce the amount of blood being pumped from your heart and thus less blood getting to your brain causing temporary dizziness. This occurs more commonly with those having lower BP or with carotid stenosis (narrowing). Symptoms should be mild and brief, but you report "really dizzy", i suggest seeing doc for eval/treatment. Good luck.
