Not uncommon: There are many reasons people have the feeling of rapid heart beats (tachycardia), some have to do with the heart and some have to do with the mind. Did you have the palpitations while you had the holter monitor on; if it "catch it", i would suggest an event monitor instead. Most cases are benign and self-limited, rarely requiring treatment. Did you have your thyroid checked?
