Get a consultation: You may have neuropathy. The neurologiic tests only ruled out disease of the large nerves. You may have disease of smaller nerves like a neuroma. You can also have an inflammatory arthritis like ra. The problem could even be mechanical or orthopedic. Either try the treatment for neuropathy recommended by the neurologist or seek an opinion from a podiatrist.

If the neurologist : Told you you had neuropathy then my question to you was how did he want to treat that? What did he feel was the underlying etiology of the neuropathy? Without, knowing the answers, Alpha lipoic acid in high concentration 1200mg-1800 mg in divided doses can help burning pain.
