A member asked:

Is there anything stronger than roaccutane i have been taking it for 11 weeks with not much improvement?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Roaccutane: Roaccutane is the strongest medication for acne but the normal treatment is 20 weeks at 1mg/kg per day. Patients can clear at 16 weeks or longer and if they do not clear at 20 weeks the doctor can keep you on the medication longer. I have seen patients clear at 24 weeks but blood work has to be drawn every 30 days.
