Bad timing..: If this had never happened before then it could be your partner had an outbreak of herpes and it was in its active phase. It is that persons responsibility to know when kissing or sexual contact is safe. If they didn't know...Then go see a physician or dentist next time they have an outbreak. Then they might not pass it on.
