Acanthosis nigricans: Not pcos per se, but high Insulin levels which come with being Insulin resistant. The skin is not so resistant and because Insulin is also a growth factor, the top layer of skin responds by getting thicker and turning brown. Acrochordons are the skin tags that can develop from this process. Men can have this also. Most patients with type 2 diabetes have acanthosis nigricans.
