Not harmful: Raw ginger in moderate amounts is not harmful. Can help with nausea and motion sickness....Serves as a palate cleanser after eating certain foods (souchi for example). As with anything moderation is better than overuse.

Has benefits: Ginger can help heartburn, menstrual cramps & migraine headaches. Ginger is excellent for upset stomach including nausea from motion sickness, menstruation, chemotherapy & morning sickness. It has an anti-inflammatory effect. It’s excellent for sxs of flu & the common cold.
