Less then 6 months: The prognosis for small cell lung cancer metastatic to the brain is typically poor. Most patients live less then 2 months, though it can significantly vary depending on performance status, extent of disease (is it metastatic to the liver or bones), tolerance to therapy including brain radiation, then response to chemotherapy.
