Babies cry when...: ...They poop. They also sometimes turn red and grunt. They need to learn to use their stomach muscles to push out the poop, just like they need to learn to use their arms and their legs. If the poop is coming out soft, they will be ok. If the poop is hard like little pebbles, , your baby is constipated. See your doctor for age appropriate advice.
