Should see doc ASAP: We have good treatments for diabetes but no easy cure. Diabetes is a chronic illness with many potential complications--vascular disease, heart attacks, strokes, kidney disease/failures, blindness, neuropathy, foot/leg ulcers and amputations, higher risk for cancers, infections, and shorter-life-span, just to name a few. So please, consult doc asap for re-eval and treatment. Good luck.

Confusing question: Not all diabetics are the same. If you are an overweight 25 yo with type 2 diabetes, you might be able to survive for a while off meds or achieve some control with diet.If you are a type 1 or insulin dependent diabetic, you will die off meds rather soon and in a horrible way.You need to see a doc and sort this out or just get ready to die.
