Anx: 20mg is a normal dose, not high or low. The main thing you said is you are better. Obviously weighing the spacey feeling with how much better you are at higher dose is the key. If too spacey and only minimally better, then the 20mg may be just right.

Celexa (citalopram): If the 20mg. Is working, stay on it and inform your prescribing doctor of your progress. Maximum daily dose of Celexa (citalopram) is 40mg. As tolerated.

Weighty question: Weight has really little to do with drug metabolism in adults. The question is which is the most effective dose for your symptoms? If good control isn't happening, try a higher dose in conjunction with doctor's advice. Doses up to 80 mg are not unreasonable. Celexa (citalopram) is not a cure, so the lowest effective dose is the best dose.

Celexa (citalopram): I would not recommend doses higher than 40mg. Daily. Discuss with your doc. First.
