A member asked:

My newly born baby is 2 weeks old , how often she needs to take bath?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Every few days: New babies basically only soil 2 areas, mouth & bottom. They do fine with sponging clean as needed & a bath every few days is more than enough. Frequent baths remove natural skin oils & cause flaky dry skin. Avoid using lotions that sour & leave baby smelly. They attract dust & lead to more baths than they need.
