Not mag oxide: Magnesium oxide is the worst: poorly absorbed and most prone to cause diarrhea. Magnesium glycinate, magnesium citrate, and magnesium malate are close, and different individuals may tolerate them differently. Magnesium aspartate may be better absorbed. Divide doses during day for better absorption. Topical oil of magnesium is well absorbed and avoids diarrhea. Avoid calcium oxide.
