When is it certain that a child needs braces?

No. It depends: Depends on the growth of the jaws, the eruption pattern of the adult teeth and the angulation in which the teeth erupt. However, an orthodontist, pediatric dentist or a dentist will determine if braces is needed.

Early: There are numerous problems that don't self-correct, including but not limited to: deep vertical overbite, large horizontal overbite, crossbites, crowding, protrusion, retrusion, facial imbalance, midline discrepancy, impactions, extra teeth, missing teeth, etc. For these reasons child should have 1st dental ck-up age 1, 1st orthodontic cm-up age 7.
